Monthly Community Update from Sgt Marc Buller |

|
Hello Resident,
I hope this message finds you well. As we move through November, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.
Firstly, I was proud to represent WMP at the Lanesfield remembrance parade this morning. It was wonderful to see the turnout and everyone involved did such an amazing job.
I'm aware of the current concerns with recent high profile incidents that have occurred in the area in recent weeks. We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.
That ties in with Phoenix park in Blakenhall, I am working with the local council to address some of the concerns raised. The park is busy and well used but there is always room to improve and make it feel a more welcoming place for all to use.
Furthermore, another issue that is regularly raised is the use of vehicles that don't conform with regulations for a manner of different reasons. We will be holding a multi agency operation in the near future and I will share the results of this with you all.
We have seized a plethora of vehicles in recent months, a number of these are from direct information provided to us by the community and I urge you to keep reporting vehicles that you believe to be suspicious.
Since taking over the team back in late April this year, I have been keen to build on the community involvement. One of the things I have ask my team to do is increase the number of face to face meetings they hold. We have a number booked in and these are ;
Cuppa with a copper 4:00PM - 6:00PM, Tue 11 November 2025 Bob Jones Community hub. Bromley St, Wolverhampton
Pop Up Stall 4:00PM - 6:00PM, Wed 19 November 2025 Tesco Hurst Hill
One Stop Meeting 6:00PM - 8:00PM, Thu 20 November 2025 18-20 Hateley Drive
Please come along and speak to the staff and discuss any concerns you may have. More meetings will be published via WM Now messages and online.
If there are any other events you would like us to hold then please let me know.
Finally, I'd like to highlight a fantastic result from the team on Friday. Officers from the team have stopped a vehicle in Blakenhall and utilised stop search powers. Upon searching one of the occupants they have found 348 wraps of class A drugs. Both suspects have been charged with the offence and remanded for court on Monday morning. This is one of 20 plus arrests in recent months for drug dealing and we will continue to target those who cause the most harm.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Stay safe and take care,
Sgt Marc Buller | ||
